My Air Force training helped me to be focused, determined and persistent. The business world is a dog-eat-dog place and is very competitive--almost a battleground. The military training & environment is the perfect place to prepare one's self for the "real world". Working 12+ hour shifts, eating on the go, managing on very little sleep--all these things are the daily routine for a small business owner.
